The goal of this course is to develop a general understanding of data collection and analysis, including statistical tools used in testing hypotheses and drawing conclusions. This class places less emphasis on mathematical computation, and more on statistical thinking. Data are everywhere, so I hope to prepare you for understanding and even questioning the statistical studies you encounter in the future. Along that path you should gain skills in data presentation, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and appropriate use of statistical tests.
