This course is a study of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, the Lukan double-work, with special focus on the first half of this double-work, Luke. The class emphasizes the narrative development, major themes, and a close reading of selected passages of the text. Attention will be given to literary, socio-historical, and theological understandings of Luke-Acts as well as multiple interpretive contexts.
