The percentile is just the cumulative proportion stated as a percent: the percent of all values of the variable that were lower the this one. The upper arm lengths of males in the United States are approximately normal with a mean of 39.1 centimeters and a standard deviation of 2.3 centimeters. Larry, a 60 year-old male in the United States has an upper arm length of 37.2 centimeters. Calculate his z-score (please describe the process) and report his percentile (using Table A on page 698-699 or the link below).
