About the training course

Faculty who are preparing to teach online using Moodle may enroll and participate in a self-paced training course that covers some of the technical and procedural elements listed above, but is more focused on the pedagogical implications of teaching online. The course is intended for those who are new to online teaching or for experienced online teachers wishing to refresh/improve their skills. It is designed to be taken as faculty are designing/preparing an actual online course, as most of the learning activities are focused on applying the concepts directly to an actual course.

Moodle course: Training for Online Teaching

Note: While this course is designed primarily for teaching online or blended courses, there are many concepts and practices that can be beneficially adopted in an on-campus course setting, as Moodle is the learning management system for all courses at EMU.

If you have any questions about the training course or stipend program, please contact Brian Gumm, Online Education Design Specialist at EMU.
